The Rekem BROWN BESAMIM-Havdalah Spice Box-

was sculptured and hand-embroidered with crochet threads in 2017.

I added wooden beads to give them an exciting texture.

They are composed of interesting geometric shapes

with graphic ornaments repeating in different variations.

They remind us a bit about the vessels of the Bet Hamikdash.

The neutral warm brown and grey colors

portray an elegant and regal atmosphere in the room.

It is one of a set of five which includes candles,

BROWN MEZUZA, BROWN BESAMIM,

BROWN CANDLES, BROWN MENORA, and BROWN KOSS.                                                                                                              

Separate items can be custom made

by contacting the artist for a particular order.

Each masterpiece is 50x70 cm

and has a hand-embroidered signature from the artist.
