The Rekem COLORED BESAMIM-
was sculptured and hand-embroidered with love and crochet
threads by Bracha Sorotzkin in 2019.
I added golden beads to give its rich texture.
The bright, vibrant greens, blues, and turquoise, 
combined with sprinkles of hot colors and yellows,
portray a colorful and royal atmosphere in the room.
The Besamim is a spice box that we use at the Havdala ceremony 
at the end of Shabbat day. 
We smell and say the blessing over the spices 
to chase away our depressing thoughts. 
We have just finished a beautiful and relaxing Shabbat, 
and now we have to return to the busy, hectic, 
and mundane schedule of the weekdays.
It is one of a set of four which includes the COLORED BESAMIM,
COLORED CANDLES, COLORED MENORA, and COLORED NATLAN.

Each masterpiece is 35x58 cm.
